Mike and Luisa founded EBI with a shared vision of connecting schools with first-class services and talent, drawing on their extensive networks, vast experience working in schools and, of course, their desire to see young people succeed. 

Following successful careers in the worlds of publishing and music, Mike took on a role as a behaviour mentor in a South London school to see if this was to be his new path

Fast-forward five years and Mike had completed his QTS, been part of a quite remarkable and award-winning English department, taken on middle leadership roles as a Head of House and then Director of Pastoral Care, before securing his first leadership role as Assistant Principal in 2011

Mike's next move saw him appointed to the leadership team of a brand new school in South London, where he had whole-school responsibility for pastoral care, including attendance, behaviour and wellbeing, as well as overseeing the leadership of the Science, Humanities, Languages, Creative Arts  and Performing Arts departments. For good measure, he was also a crucial member of another dynamic English team

Keen to broaden his experience, Mike took on a consultancy role in 2018 which has taken him to well over 100 schools, supporting and developing teachers, support staff and middle leaders, while also advising leadership teams on a range of whole-school policies.
